On January 8, 2023, Kylie Maloney, age 6, lost her life due to gunfire at a relative’s home in Sangre Grande.
On January 16, 2023, 25-year-old Aaron London was accused of killing the woman. The Homicide Bureau of Investigation’s Senior Superintendent Rishi Singh praised the officers who participated in the investigation that produced the breakthrough in the case.
According to Supt. Singh, the incident traumatized the family and the entire community. He hopes the family will find closure in this tragic situation as the perpetrators are brought before the courts.
Aaron London Arrested: What Did He Do?
Following the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) recommendation, Mr. Roger Gaspard S.C., a 25-year-old man, was arrested and charged with murder yesterday and made his initial appearance in the Sangre Grande Magistrate’s Court today (Tuesday, January 17, 2023).

On January 8, in the early hours, young Kylie was fatally shot. Additionally shot were her mother and two other people. The six-year-death old’s from an abdominal gunshot wound was determined by a post-mortem.
Kylie Maloney died as a result of an abdominal gunshot wound, according to the results of a post-mortem.

According to the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), homicide detectives looked into the circumstances surrounding the death of 6-year-old Kylie Maloney. They charged Aaron London, also known as “Gando,” of Darmarie Hill, Sangre Grande. Three counts of intentionally inflicting harm, possessing a firearm, and possessing ammunition were also brought against the defendant.
What Happened During The Incident?
According to Police records, on Sunday, January 8, 2023, at 2:15 am, officers responded to a report of a shooting at LP #64 Blake Avenue in Sangre Grande.
According to investigations, four (4) people were awakened by the sound of their dogs barking at their home around 2:05 am that morning. One of the occupants checked his CCTV camera system and saw armed, camouflage-clad men. Several loud explosions were then heard shortly after that.

When they arrived, the officers took Kylie Maloney and three other victims with gunshot wounds to the Sangre Grande Hospital. Around 3:15 am, Kylie eventually passed away from her wounds. ASP Douglas, Insp. Ramjag (Legal Officer) and Sgt. Radhaykissoon oversaw the investigation.

The suspect is scheduled to appear before the Sangre Grande Magistrate’s Court after being charged on Tuesday morning. According to the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service, homicide detectives looked into the circumstances surrounding the death of six-year-old Kylie Maloney. They charged Aaron London, also known as “GANDO,” of Damarie Hill, Sangre Grande.
According to relatives, the child’s funeral plans are currently being made, who told the media that Wednesday had been tentatively chosen as the day. Little Kylie is the first kid to be killed in 2023 so far.
