Ahed Tamimi is a renowned Palestinian activist basked in the village of Nabi Salih in the occupied West Bank. Besides, she is popularly known for the images and videos she has shared confronting Israeli soldiers. 

In 2017, she became the news headline after a video of her slapping a soldier went viral in media sources. The incident dragged the attention of many, and she became a topic of debate and interest internationally. 

Besides, the activist was charged and sentenced to jail for eight months regarding the matter. Furthermore, she has actively participated in protests and political agitation from an early age. 

Additionally, at the age of 11, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas applauded Palestinian activist Tamimi for seeing her involvement during her mother’s arrest in August 2012.

Ahed Tamimi was born to a sound family on January 31, 2001. She was raised by her parents, Bassem Tamimi and Nariman al-Tamimi, in Nabi Salih, West Bank, Palestine.

Her father, Bassem, is a Palestinian grassroots activist. Not only that, but he is also an organizer of protests against Israeli settlement construction in the West Bank.

Bassem was convicted by an Israeli military court in 2012 for sending people to throw stones and holding a march without a permit.

According to a report, Ahed is not the only child of her parents, as she grew up alongside her siblings, Mohammed Tamimi and Wa’ed Tamimi.

Everything On Ahed Tamimi Ethnicity And Origin

Ahed Tamimi is originally from Nabi Salih, West Bank, Palestine. For your information, Nabi Salih is a small village located about 20 kilometres northwest of Ramallah.

So, Tamimi holds Palestinian nationality, while her ethnicity has not been shared by any media sources yet. However, her ethnic background has dragged the eyes of many people.

Many people have shared their thoughts on Ahed’s ethnic background, but the fact has not been posted yet. As per her father, Ahed is subjected to threats from Israeli forces when she is recognized.

So, to protect Tamimi from harassment, her parents relocated her to a relative’s house in Ramallah so Tamimi did not have to pass through Israeli checkpoints to pursue her secondary education.
