Who Was Alex Murdaugh Housekeeper, Gloria Satterfield?
Gloria Satterfield was the long-time housekeeper of the Murdaugh family, and they used to treat her like a family.
Satterfield was described as a second mother to Paul Murdaugh, the youngest son of Alex, who was shot along with her mother.
Gloria died on February 26, 2018; the Netflix series revealed the date.
As per the Source, on February 2, 2018, Gloria suffered an injury while working at Murdaug House that required medical attention.

Alex’s wife reported that Gloria had fallen while climbing the stairs to the Murdaugh House. the victim had tripped over the Murdaugh family dogs on the stairs, resulting in a violent fall that caused her death.
The incident they described was actual; she fell from the stairs on February 2, 2018. But after some investigation and report, it was confirmed that she died on February 26 of the same year.
After some research, the team member in the Murdaugh revealed that she discovered Alex’s drug bag and shared it with Paul.
Morgan’s parents, Bill and Diane Doughty, believed that Gloria knew more than just a bag of drugs, which might have led to her death.
Gloria’s siblings were also interviewed in the series, and they mentioned it did not look like she fell stairs in the hospital.
Did Alex Murdaugh Get A Death Penalty?
The prosecution has announced that they plan to seek a sentence of life imprisonment without the chance of parole for the defendant rather than pursuing the death penalty.
The court has decided to give him life imprisonment instead of pursuing the death penalty. The murderer might spend the rest of his life or more than 30 years in prison.

Judge Clifton Newman shared the information that the court would hold a sentencing hearing on Friday at 9:30 am for Murdaugh.
South Carolina allows prosecutors to pursue the death penalty in murder cases like this.
But in December 2022, the state attorney general’s office announced they had decided to seek a life sentence without parole for Alex Murdaugh after reviewing the case in detail.
Murdaugh is facing more than 100 criminal charges related to financial and drug crimes. His son testified that he uses drugs and has seen him dealing with them in the past.
Alex has been found guilty of killing his younger son and wife; they were shot multiple times at their House.
Following the news, it was clear he was not getting the death penalty; instead, he would spend his life in prison.
