Angela Lee was involved in a horrific car accident in November 2017 that forced her out of a ONE Championship title defense matchup.
Then-21-year-old Angela, who had a record of 8-0 at the time, was had to let go of the fight with challenger Mei Yamaguchi (16-10-1), slated for “ONE Championship 65: Immortal Pursuit” on November 24 in Singapore.
In a message on Instagram, Angela said she fell asleep while driving early morning to practice and apologized to fans and Yamaguchi.
Fortunately, no serious injuries were sustained to Angela or anyone else. However, the information came as a warning about driving while tired.
ONE Championship officials announced the accident, and we saw a photo of Angela’s mangled Audi.

Victoria Lee (2004-2022), the youngest sibling of ONE World Champions Angela Lee and Christian Lee, is no more.
On January 7, 2023, Angela announced on Instagram that her sister had died on December 26, 2022. The cause of her death is yet to be disclosed.

Victoria, one of the emerging stars in mixed martial arts, made her successful MMA debut aged 16 on February 26, 2021.
She scored 3-0 as a professional, winning all three fights in Singapore in 2021 using different methods.
Her pro debut was against Sunisa Srisan via rear-naked choke in February 2021, followed by an armbar submission over Wang Luping in July 2021 and a second-round TKO over Victoria Souza in September 2021.
After not fighting in 2022, Victoria was set to take on Zeba Bano on January 14, 2023, at ONE in Bangkok, Thailand.

Angela Lee was born in Vancouver, Canada, to her parents, Ken Lee and Jewelz Lee, both martial artists.
She is of Singaporean, Chinese, and Korean heritage since her Father is Chinese-Singaporean and her mother is South Korean-born Canadian. She holds Canadian and American citizenship.
The Lee family moved to Hawaii when Angela was seven. Due to her parents’ background and her immense interest, Angela started training at a young age and competing at six.
Angela is the eldest child with younger brothers, Christian and Adrian, and a sister, Victoria.
All four siblings are into MMA. Christian is also an MMA fighter and the reigning ONE Welterweight World Champion and ONE Lightweight World Champion, while Victoria (2004-2022) and Adrian also trained in martial arts.
Angela is married to fellow mixed martial artist Bruno Pucci, with whom she shares a daughter named Ava Marie (b. April 2021).
