Rapper August Alsina appears to come out as a member of the LGBTQ+ community. He made the revelation while participating in VH1’s The Surreal Life reboot.
It means he has found love again two years after his infamous and controversial “entanglement” with Jada Pinkett Smith.
The 30-year-old musician credited a man standing nearby for “a love that feels limitless.” “And then what do you know? Love showed up, but in a new way,” he said.
Alsina added that he wants to honor the person he loves and who loves him back and teaches him about love and healing.
He further gave a powerful message about sharing his love in front of the world since it “defies all the constructs that one would say love is supposed to be or look like.”
The Song Cry hitmaker then hugged the man who appeared beside him. Although Alsina did not talk about his sexuality explicitly, his intended message is apparent.
The rapper appears to be dating the man revealed in the video. However, his extensive details are yet to be publicized.
According to Hot New Hip Hop, the man’s name is Zaza, an emerging singer and artist.
August Alsina Dating History: Who Has He Dated In The Past?
The recent announcement of August Alsina came to light two years after his romance with Actress Jada Pinkett Smith, 52. The infamous “entanglement” with Will Smith’s wife caused a major media uproar.
In June 2020, Alsina released his third studio album, The Product III: State of Emergency, a five-part documentary series. It detailed his life experiences, family, and the heavily publicized “entanglement” with the Actress.
Alsina claimed that Jada’s son, Jaden, introduced him to Jada in 2015 and that he fell in love with her. The two became very close, vacationed in Hawaii, and attended the 2017 BET Awards together.
He also stated that Will Smith, who has been married to Jada since 1997, gave him his blessings. “I devoted myself to it; I gave my full self to it,” Alsina said in an interview with Breakfast Club host Angela Yee.
