Bektemir Melikuziev was born to his parents in Shoimbek, Uzbekistan, on 13 April 1996. He was born Bektemir Rozmatjon Ogli Meliqoziyev. The young fighter is also known by his nickname Bek-The Bully.
Bektemir Melikuziev is from Uzbekistan. Thus his nationality is Uzbek. In an interview with NY Fights, Bektemir disclosed that both of his parents are teachers. However, the names of the boxer’s dad and mom are yet to be revealed.
Melikuziev is the youngest of three kids of his parents. The 28-year-old fighter grew up with his two elder siblings/brothers in his home country surrounded by the love and support of their mother and father.
In the same interview, the professional fighter revealed that his entire family was made of athletes, so his dad always wished one of the Melikuziev siblings to be an athlete.
Despite being the youngest, Bektemir always won whenever he fought with his elder brothers. He said, ” I was always getting into trouble and fights as a young boy.”
“I used to beat up my older brothers. We would get into fights like brothers do when we were young and, I would always get the best of them,” the boxer continued.

When Bektemir Melikuziev’s father noticed how strong he was, he encouraged him to pursue his career as a professional fighter.
Bektemir’s dad sent him to his friend – who happened to be a karate coach – to learn to box. The Uzbek athlete began his boxing career when he was nine years old.
He started to do different forms of boxing with the karate coach. However, the young Bektemir was not really interested in boxing.
But he took boxing seriously from the following year. The talented athlete also revealed that his nickname “Bully” came as he fought and got into trouble all the time as a young child.
Bektemir “Bek-The Bully” Melikuziev is reportedly signed under Golden Boy Promotions and World of Boxing.
The 2015 Doha Aiba World Boxing Championships, 2015 2017 Asian Championshipships, and 2016 Olympic Games in Rio are the career highlights of the Uzbek boxer.
