The 22-year-old tennis star requested medical attention for an issue with her right shoulder. Further detail about her health is yet to be made public.

Tsurenko said Bianca is a fantastic player capable of hitting all kinds of shots. The 33-year-old tennis player from Ukraine added, “Unfortunately, she had to retire.”

The tennis champion is not retiring from her career, just the Thailand Open match.

Tsurenko said she was fighting and told herself that positive things like she could do it. Now she is set to compete with China’s Lin Zhu in the final.

Moreover, Andreescu – the 2019 U.S. Open champion – who was the tournament’s top seed, had not lost a set going into the semifinals and was aiming to make her first WTA final since June.

Bianca’s semifinal opponent returned from 3-5 to take the first set 7-5. Andreescu withdrew in the second quarter with an 0-4 deficit after asking for a medical break in the first.

Born on 16 June 2000, Bianca Vanessa Andreescu is the daughter of Nicu and Maria Andreescu. The tennis champion grew up in Mississauga, Ontario, with her family.

The talented tennis player’s parents relocated from Romania to Canada in 1994. Her dad reportedly got a job in Canada.

Bianca Andreescu’s Father is a mechanical engineer at an automotive Company. On the other hand, her mother worked at a bank in Romania.

When a star tennis player was six years old, her family moved back to Romania so that her mom could start a business there.

After two and a half years, they closed the business, returned to Canada, and settled there. Bianca’s mother reportedly served as the chief compliance officer at a financial services Company.
