The mugshot of Charles Dion McDowell, commonly known online as Wide Neck or Wide Neck Guy, became viral on social media in November 2018. He is an American internet personality and meme.
The mugshot of McDowell was published on Facebook by the Escambia County, Florida, sheriff’s office on November 13, 2018. His mug shot quickly gained popularity online as a result of comments and various memes that referred to his Neck.

Wide Neck’s brand-new rap video, “First Day Out,” was published on YouTube in March 2020. The video had received over 760,000 views as of June 2020.
Big Neck Guy Arrested Again: Charged For Aggravated Stalking
According to authorities, a Florida guy from Pensacola who became well-known online after his past arrests is back in the Escambia County Jail.
On Sunday, Charles McDowell, 35, was arrested for aggravated stalking and withholding support and was taken to the Escambia County Jail. Without a bond, he is being detained.

Following his arrest in 2018 and the publication of his mugshot, McDowell amassed more than 1 million social media followers.

He recorded and released rap music as “Wide Neck.”

McDowell committed the crime of aggravated stalking on August 24 in Escambia County, according to his most recent arrest report.
According to the allegation, McDowell sent the victim threatening texts in addition to visiting her House.
Before McDowell was detained over the weekend, a warrant had been issued for his arrest back in August.
Big Neck Guy Social Media Explored
Late in November of last year, McDowell launched the Instagram account @damnwideneck to capitalize on the success of his memes.
He collaborated with other Instagram users, Supreme Patty and Damn Long Neck. He increased his platform following by more than 325k in just one week.
McDowell had more than 1.1 million Instagram followers as of June 2020.
On March 15, 2020, McDowell announced the news on Instagram.
McDowell asserted that besides enrolling in classes at the University of Florida, where he was studying engineering and chemistry, he would also play football for the Gators in the 2020–21 season.
He was wearing Gators apparel when he made the statement, holding a football and some papers in his hand while wearing a bright orange school t-shirt and a blue ball cap.
Big Neck Guy Criminal History
McDowell was detained in Florida after being accused of escaping the Police, having methamphetamine and cocaine in his hands, and having them with the purpose of selling, making, or distributing.
When the state of Florida revoked McDowell’s bond following a prior arrest on Tuesday, January 29, 2019, he was taken into custody there.

He received his prison release in February 2020. Before his departure, McDowell wrote on Instagram: This is officially my last Saturday in jail. Next Saturday will be my last Saturday away.
