BJP MLA Laxman Jagtap, 59, passed away on Tuesday morning (3 January 2023) at a Baner private hospital following a long battle with Cancer.
The Chinchwad MLA was placed on ventilator support when he was admitted to a private hospital more than two months ago.
Around 2 o’clock, the body will be carried to his Pimple Gurav home, where the public can pay their respects between 3 and 6 o’clock. Moreover, his family announced that the funeral would start at 7 o’clock.
Chief Minister Eknath Shinde paid his tribute and said that Laxman Jagtap was a well-liked politician from Pimpri-Chinchwad. He also praised the late politician for his development work in his constituency as an MLA.
Chief Minister added that the BJP lost a strong Leader and a devoted supporter with his passing.
The politician’s health began to deteriorate over two years ago. Despite being diagnosed with Cancer, he continued to attend meetings and rallies, pursued development works in his constituency, and disclosed his close aid.
