Bobby Knight is an American former basketball coach who won 902 NCAA Division I men’s college basketball games. From 2001 to 2008, he coached at Texas Tech and at Army from 1965 to 1971.

While serving in Army, Knight led the team to four post-season tournament appearances in six seasons. Before working as a coach, he was also a player and played at Ohio State from 1959 to 1962 as a forward.

Due to his amazing work, Knight has also been honored with multiple awards, including the Henry Iba Award (1975 & 1989) and Naismith College Coach of the Year (1987).

Bobby Knight was active in the sports field for a long time and retired part-way through the 2007-2008 season. After that, he was replaced by his son Pat Knight at Texas Tech.

In 2008, Bobby joined ESPN as a men’s college basketball studio analyst during Championship Week. He also came to the station for the coverage of the NCAA Tournament.

So, Knight continued covering college basketball for ESPN through the 2014-15 season. Due to his less presence in the media, people also began asking questions about his current status.

The former basketball coach is still alive and is doing well in his life. Moreover, he has also faced some issues in his health, and a report shows that he has dementia which is an impaired ability to remember, think, or make decisions that hamper everyday work.

Bobby Knight Wife: A Look at Former Basketball Coach Married Life

Bobby Knight has married twice in his life. Currently, he lives a blissful life with his beloved wife, Karen Vieth Edgar. The married couple tied the knot on May 23, 1988. Edgar is also a former Oklahoma high school basketball coach.

Meanwhile, Edgar is not the first wife of Knight, as he was previously married to Nancy Falk. Knight and Falk walked down the wedding aisle on April 17, 1963, in the presence of their family and close ones.

Being married for a long time, the former duo had also started their own family as they are the parents of two sons, Tim and Pat. Knight and Falk divorced in 1985, and the reason behind their separation remains unknown.

Their son, Pat, is also a basketball coach and scout for the Indiana Pacers of the National Basketball Association (NBA).
