He is allegedly “fighting for his life” and is in “serious condition,” according to the Spanish newspaper El Espanyol.
Pele was admitted to the hospital on November 29 and has since remained stable, according to medical personnel, who also notes that his treatment for a respiratory infection has gone well.

He continues to get treatment, and his health is steady. His status has not changed in the past 24 hours, and he responds well to a cure for a respiratory infection.
