Bupkis is a semi-autobiographical series set to premiere on 4 May on Peackcock. The series reportedly heightened fictionalized version of Pete Davidson’s life.

The Peacock show has been compared with Curb Your Enthusiasm, created by Lary David. Joe Pesci was selected to the cast as Pete’s grandfather.

During his nearly four decades-long career, Bupkis is Joe Pesci’s second time starring in TV series. Joe returned to the screen after his 2019 movie The Irishman.

Pesci’s fans are concerned about his health as he didn’t appear in any project for the last few years.

Bupkis: Is Joe Pesci Sick? Health Update

No. Joe Pesci is not sick. At Least, there has been no official report about the 81-year-old’s health problem.

In addition, the skilled performer is starring in the upcoming Peacock show Bupkis as Pete Davidson’s grandfather. Thus, we assume that Joe Pesci isn’t sick and in good health.

In mid-October last year, Peacock released the first image of Pete Davidson and Joe Pesci from Bupkis. In the picture, the two stars are sitting together on a boat.

While Pesci is holding an iPad, they are wearing sunglasses and looking into the distance. As reported by E! News, it is the second television role for the Academy Award-winning actor Pesci.

Joe’s first television role was as a detective comedy Half Nelson in 1985’s series. Moreover, Davidson reportedly traveled to Los Angeles several times to meet the Goodfellas star and make him agree to the role.

Getting the notoriously secretive and selective star, Joe Pesci, to agree to appear in the show is obviously not easy.

Joe Pesci Illness And Health Problems

Although it is unknown if Joe Pesci has any illness, the legendary artist has suffered several injuries during his long career.

Pesci sustained a fractured rib while starring alongside Robert De Niro in Martin Scorsese’s Raging Bull.

Nearly 15 years later, Pesci broke the same rib on the set of Casino, another Scorsese movie. Both films received critical acclaim, and the former garnered Pesci an Academy Award nomination.

During an American Film Institute program to honor in 1997, Joe Pesci quipped, “I’ve concluded that great movies mean cracked ribs.” “With The Super and Jimmy Hollywood, I escaped almost unscathed,” the versatile actor added.

Joe Pesci Suffered A Serious Burn On The Home Alone 2 Set

Joe Pesci portrayed the character Harry, a thief in Home Alone 2. Harry escapes the jail with his friend Marv, and they are determined to get revenge on the kid who sent the two to prison.

Harry flips a switch in one of the most memorable scenes, setting off a booby trap that fires his winter hat. Harry spends the remainder of the movie with a partially burnt hat and a red, bald scalp.

Later in an interview with People, Pesci admitted that he suffered severe burns to the top of his head during the scene.

The star told the same publication that even though he had stuntpeople for “the really heavy stunts,” he still had to cope with “bumps, bruises, and general pains.” Pesci has never previously discussed how the fiery hat joke hurt him in public.

But one thing to be noted is that Joe is not the only actor to get hurt while filming, but he is not the only one to keep quiet initially.
