Lagarde suffered a minor injury in a car accident on March 24, 2023, in Strasbourg, France. The damage was reportedly related to her neck, but no further details were given.

In an interview, she was seen wearing a neck brace, and she shared about the accident through her Instagram to her followers.

Lagarde did not have significant injuries which required her to stay at home, and she was off to work right after she had an accident. 

After she suffered an accident, she said she shared the importance of wearing a seatbelt while driving or sitting in a passenger seat. 

Hopefully, as a recent update, she seems to be doing fine, and her neck brace has been out. Her neck looks perfectly fine. 

Christine Lagarde Surgery And Car Accident Update

Lagarde did not undergo any surgery after the car accident and only suffered minor injuries to her neck.

She could continue her official engagements while wearing a neck brace; no other injuries were reported.

Also, it was reported that Lagarde was doing fine with her health and did not require to be hospitalized after the car accident.

The politician was not driving the car, she was in the passenger seat, and she did not realize about wearing seatbelts until the accident happened. 

As per the recent update, the politician has been doing great with her health condition and continuing with her work. 

She has been able to fulfill her duties as expected and has continued to attend official events, including the opening of a bank.

No serious injuries were reported in the accident, and Lagarde did not operate the vehicle then.

In 2019, Lagarde was appointed President of the European Central Bank (ECB), succeeding Mario Draghi.

As President of the ECB, she is responsible for setting monetary policy in the Eurozone and overseeing the implementation of that policy.

She is also a member of the ECB’s Governing Council and the European Systemic Risk Board.
