CJ Perez parents have stood by their athletic son and are proud of him as CJ commits to helping Gilas in the upcoming SEA games.

CJ Perez, whose full name is Christian Jaymar Perez, is a professional basketball player from the Philippines who plays for the San Miguel Beermen in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA).

Dyip of Columbia picked the hooper first overall in the 2018 PBA draft. The basketballer was voted the conference’s most valuable player in the 2018 PBA D-League Aspirants’ Cup.

Perez played for Zark’s Burger-Lyceum, an NCAA Season 93 tournament squad that featured several of the Pirates’ star players and won 18 straight games.

In 2016, while playing for Gilas 5.0 in the FIBA Asia Challenge, CJ made his professional debut. He also participated in the 2016 FIBA 3×3 All Stars in Doha, Qatar, as a member of Team Manila.

The basketballer was one of the team’s younger players for the Gilas in the 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup.

Perez played for Zark’s Burger-Lyceum, an NCAA Season 93 tournament squad featuring several Pirates’ star players and winning 18 straight games.

CJ Perez Parents: Where Are They From?

CJ Perez parents gave birth to the athlete on November 17, 1993, in his hometown of Kowloon, British Hong Kong.

After his mother departed to work abroad, CJ, who never saw his father. His grandparents reared the hooper in Pangasinan.

Sadly, there are not many details available on the internet about CJ Perez parents. It is also unknown if CJ Perez parents had given birth to other children, or if the basketballer was the only child in the family.

The sportsman quickly attracted attention in college thanks to his explosiveness on the floor, drawing similarities to Calvin “The Beast” Abueva, a legendary basketball player.

CJ and Topex Robinson met up again at LPU after CJ transferred from San Sebastion College-Recoletos to Ateneo de Manila University.

Perez not only took home the top prize there but also inspired his side to victory in every game they played in the elimination phase.

However, the Hoopers would fall short in the NCAA Finals to the more seasoned San Bed Red Lions team.

CJ chose not to take this personally and instead used it as inspiration to work even harder in the gym this season to reach his full potential.

Perez competed for the Lyceum of the Philippines University Pirates, Ateneo De Manila Blue Eagles, and San Sebastian College – Recoletos Stags.

CJ Perez Family And Origin

CJ Perez and longtime partner Sienna Catacutan advanced their romance and changed their relationship into husband and wife.

The hooper was raised in Bautista, Pangasinan, the Philippines, despite being from Kowloon, Hong Kong.

The top rookie and Sienna were formally wed in a private ceremony. CJ and his wife already had a child before marriage, and a second baby was announced.

On Instagram, the hooper also shared this heartfelt message: “My wife met me when all I had to give was potential. Make someone win when they stake their entire life on you.

Sienna stated that despite her husband’s successful job in the league, he was a hands-on dad in an interview with SPIN Life last year.

One-year-old Ciana Tanisha, their first child, became a big sister, and CJ, who never got to meet his father, started a new chapter in their life.

The family has always been with CJ, and they have shown their love and support from the stands during his games.

In his last collegiate season, Perez led the Pirates to an 18-game sweep of the eliminations, averaging a league-best 19.3 points per game, 6.5 rebounds, and 3.6 assists.
