David Walliams Controversy And Scandal: What Did He Say To Get Fired From BGT?

David Walliams controversy news is spreading like wildfire in social media and netizens are eager to find out what he said to get fired from Britain Got Talent (BGT).

David Walliams’s full name is David Edward Williams OBE is a renowned comedian, actor, writer, novelist, and television celebrity from England.

Walliams’s collaboration with Matt Lucas on the BBC sketch comedy shows Little Britain and Fly With Me is what made him most famous.

The actor served as a judge on the ITV talent competition shows Britain’s Got Talent from 2012 until 2022. The internet celebrity also writes children’s novels, of which more than 37 million copies have been sold worldwide.

The comedian portrayed Greville White in the television drama movie Capturing Mary from 2007. From 2013 to 2014, he co-wrote and appeared in the BBC One sitcom Big School.

At the 2017 Birthday Honours, The writer received the OBE designation for his contributions to the arts and charity. Walliams has raised millions of pounds for the BBC charity Sport Relief by swimming the English Channel, Strait of Gibraltar, and River Thames.

Just months after his abrupt departure from the program, David Walliams was only too happy to ignore the start of the current season of Britain’s Got Talent.

Because of the David Walliams controversy, the 51-year-old comic left BGT in November and the program is already going on without him.

Following the release of tapes in which Walliams was heard making disparaging remarks about candidates, David abruptly left BGT last year.

In one instance, the word “c**t” was used three times about an older contender. Other recordings of David’s comments on a female competitor showed him saying: “She’s like the slightly dull chick you meet in the pub who thinks you want to f**k them, but you don’t.”

David issued a groveling apology following the revelation of the tapes stating that he would like to apologize to the persons he made insulting statements about during breaks in shooting for Britain’s Got Talent in 2020.

The comedian also apologized for most of the chats with friends as these were private conversations that were never meant to be made public.

Days later, though, he decided to end the entire season, and Bruno Tonioli, a former Strictly Come Dancing judge, took Walliams’s place on the show.

David Walliams Left BGT

On Saturday, the new season of Britain’s Got Talent premieres, and former Strictly Come, Dancing contestant, Bruno Tonioli joins the judging panel for the first time.

David Walliams will be noticeably absent from the judging panel, though, having opted to leave the program last year after serving on the panel for ten years.

It was widely assumed that David would be replaced, but it was reported in January that Bruno had accepted a lucrative contract to appear on the show.

Simon Cowell said he “wasn’t engaged” in David Walliams’ decision to leave Britain’s Got Talent judging panel.

The TV executive broke his silence on the comedian’s departure and said he would “never condone” the comedian’s inappropriate insults to other participants.

Although being an executive producer and judge on the program, Simon said, other more “hands-on” producers were involved in the discussions preceding David’s departure.

For David’s work on Britain’s Got Talent, he earned the Best TV Judge award at 2015, 2018, 2019, and 2020 National Television Awards. 

Several followers left comments on David’s social media expressing their disappointment that he was leaving the ITV program, with one fan writing: “Miss you on BGT. With you gone, David, the BGT won’t be the same.”
