He was present for only two minutes. Authorities cautioned individuals to avoid Midtown, especially West Peachtree Street from 12th Street to 13th Street.
All of the victims of the shooting in Midtown Atlanta were women. The victim who died was identified as 39-year-old Amy St. Pierre. The other injured victims were a 71-year-old, 56-year-old, 39-year-old, and 25-year-old.
Three injured women were in critical condition and underwent emergency surgery; one was stable when they arrived at Grady Memorial Hospital.
The CDC released a statement expressing their grief and condolences for St. Pierre’s tragic loss.
