During his treatment, Louis missed school and stayed in the hospital for a long time. Doon was devastated to witness the suffering of her son.
But as a mother, she remained strong and took care of Louise. The artist reportedly kept a diary of her child’s illness journey, which she later turned into a one-woman play, “Primadoona.”
The actress said the play was a way to express her emotions and share her experience with other parents who might be going through the same thing.
She also wanted to raise awareness and funds for leukemia research. Louis is now in remission, meaning there is no sign of cancer.
