Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra from India said that the state investing authority had arrested the author of a book who was charged with promoting enmity and hurting religious feelings.

The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, from the association named Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh student wing, has talked about the book being taught to law students was unacceptable with inappropriate content.

Since it has highly objectionable content against the Hindu community and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, the primary community supported the matter and asked for the arrest of the writer who had displayed such writings.

Dr. Farhat Khan Is Charged For “Collective Violence and Criminal Justice System” 

Dr. Farhat Khan was arrested following her book content “Collective Violence and Criminal Justice System” when she was under a dialysis procedure in a hospital. During the arrest, she was handed papers about the case.

Additionally, authorities have initiated an investigation into complaints related to another book.

The minister stated without going into further detail that if such inappropriate content is discovered, it will also be connected to the same case.

Lucky Adiwal, an LLM student at the Indore-based college and a leader in the ABVP, filed a complaint in the case against author Khan, the publisher of the book, Dr. Inamur Rehman, the institution’s principal, and professor Mirza Mojij Baig.

As the other member besides the author were also involved in showcasing the writing, authorities pulled them for the charges. Shortly, they shall be investigated and punished.

What Are the Legal Steps And Protests Related To The Matter?

Regarding the controversial case, an official said the Indore Police had traced the author, Khan, to Pune. Official served her a notice under relevant provisions of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC).

Furthermore, the matter against Khan and others was reported under various Indian Penal Code Sections, including 153-A, with mentions the heightening enmity between multiple groups based on religion, race, place of birth, and residence.

Besides that, 295-A section mentions the purposeful and malicious acts intended to outrage the religious sentiments of any class by insulting its religion or religious beliefs.

Accordingly, the college’s principal has argued his arrest by explaining that he has nothing to do with the book’s placement in the library.
