Drake Bell Crime News: Is He In Prison Or Jail?
Drake Bell, the former star of Nickelodeon’s Drake & Josh, escaped jail time after pleading guilty to charges resulting from improper communications he sent to a juvenile girl.
“Most of the stuff you’ve heard recently is completely inaccurate and incorrect,” Bell stated in the video. “I feel that you deserve, and I owe you, an explanation.”
He said in the video that his dealings with her were “reckless and irresponsible,” but he claimed he was “unaware” of her age and only spoke with her via text messages – with no physical contact.
After the victim went to the Police in 2018, the 35-year-old Actor and musician pled guilty to counts of attempted child endangerment and spreading material harmful to kids.
He was conveyed a two-year probationary period and 200 hours of resident assistance in an Ohio court.
Before the punishment was imposed, the lady, now 19, talked at length about the harm Bell had caused her.
She stated he began grooming her when she was 12, and she originally felt loved and protected by him.
Bell began performing as a youngster but rose to prominence as a teen with Nickelodeon’s The Amanda Show and, subsequently, Drake & Josh,” which aired in January 2004.

Bell pled guilty to felony attempted child endangerment and a misdemeanor charge of transmitting things detrimental to kids.
Prosecutors earlier stated that the allegations stemmed from Bell’s violation of the duty of care and sending improper texts to the youngster.
“I accept this plea since my behavior was incorrect,” Bell told the court through Zoom. “I regret that the victim was damaged. That was not my objective.”
Before giving Bell’s sentence, Judge Timothy McCormick said he heard “a lot of severe and distressing claims” throughout the trial but added that he “can’t lose sight of what was pled to.”
These claims have not been proven in a court of law. She stated he began grooming her when she was 12, and she originally felt loved and protected by him.
But she said their internet discussions became “blatantly sexual” after she reached 15, which made her feel uncomfortable and imprisoned because she “idolized” Bell.
The lady said she and Bell exchanged graphic images online and that he participated in sexual behavior with her numerous times while she was underage, including at a Cleveland music venue and a hotel.
Bell was also labeled a “pedophile” and a “coward” by her.
However, Bell’s lawyer, Ian Friedman, contested several of her accusations, claiming no graphic images or sexual contact.
