Dzhokhar Tsarnaev Mugshot: Arrest and Charges Details

The mugshot of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was released on April 19, 2013, by the FBI following the bombing incident at the Boston Marathon. The bombs were blasted 14 seconds and 210 yards apart near the race’s finish line, killing three people and injuring 281.

Three days after the bombings, the FBI anointed Dzhokhar and his brother as suspects and released their images. In an attempt to flee, the Tsarnaev brothers also kidnapped a man in his car and killed an MIT policeman.

The other man fled, and a shootout occurred between the brothers and the Police. Dzhokhar escaped in an SUV and ran his brother over in the situation, and Tamerlan died soon after.

On April 19 of the same year, Dzhokhar was found seriously injured and hiding in a boat. After opening Fire at the boat, Dzhokhar was arrested, and the Police took him to a medical center. 

Later, he was charged with using and devising to use a weapon of mass devastation resulting in ***** and with cruel destruction of property resulting in *****. On April 8, 2015, he was convicted and found guilty of 30 counts.

Is Boston Marathon Bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev Still in Jail?

Yes, it is reported that the Boston Marathon Bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev is still in Jail as he was convicted on April 8, 2015, and found guilty of all 30 counts. 

Tsarnaev was sentenced to *****. However, it was left upon appeal in 2020. In March 2022, the U.S. Supreme Court upheld the original ***** sentence.

After that, he was placed back on ***** row, where Tsarnaev still remains today. Despite that, an execution date has not been scheduled yet.

Where Are Dzhokhar Tsarnaev Parents Now?

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was born to his parents Anzor Tsarnaev and Zubeidat Tsarnaev, on July 22, 1993. They raised Tsarnaev along with his three siblings.

As a child, Tsarnaev emigrated with his family to Russia and then, when he was eight, to the United States under a political sanatorium.

The family later settled in Cambridge and finally became U.S. permanent residents in March 2007. It is reported that Tsarnaev’s parents still reside in the Russian province of Dagestan.

They reportedly have built up lowkey life surrounded by their close ones. Likewise, Anzor and Zubeidat still believe that their sons had fault for the bombing.
