Jantjies participated in the 2008 Under-16 Grant Khomo Week competition on behalf of the Golden Lions, earning him a spot on the Under-16 Elite Squad.

After the 2009 season, Jantjies joined the Blue Bulls, a close neighbor. He competed for them in the Under-18 Craven Week tournaments in 2009 and 2010, gaining a position on the S.A. Schools team in 2009.

Following that, he participated in contests for the Blue Bulls U19 squad in 2010 and 2011 and the Blue Bulls U21 team in 2012 and 2013.

The South Africa Under-20 team for the 2012 IRB Junior World Championship competition contained Jantjies.

He started the tournament’s opening match and kicked four penalties, a conversion as South Africa lost to Ireland 19-23.

For the remainder of the competition, Handré Pollard was preferred. Still, Jantjies played in two games against Italy and Argentina and was an unutilized substitute in the final against New Zealand.

For the 2015 season, Jantjies switched to the Eastern Province Kings, a team based in Port Elizabeth. In the 2015 Vodacom Cup tournament, he made just two appearances for the Kings until his contract was canceled on June 24, 2015, due to a violation of team protocol.

In December 2018, Jantjies shifted to the Spanish team Alcobendas.
