On another occasion, the BBC economist tweeted that his wife pays the UK and foreign taxes on her foreign investments.

Similarly, a Twitter user mockingly told Faisal, “Why don’t you marry George Osborne if you think he is so great.” To which the Journalist replied that his wife wouldn’t approve.

Faisal Islam was born to Bengali Muslim parents on May 29, 1977, in Didsbury, Manchester, England.

His parents are originally from West Bengal, India, and moved to the UK for a better career and future.

Islam’s Father, Mukul, was born in rural Bengal while it was still under British reign. Mukul was affectionately called “Dadu” or “Chow” by some.

His Muslim dad was first given a job in the 1960s by a kind and open-minded Jewish accountant. Faisal is now the godfather to the accountant’s granddaughter.
