In the statement shared on Facebook, the band wrote, Gary Rossington, a member of Lynyrd Skynyrd, has passed away, and the band expresses their sadness and sympathy for his loss. The statement also implies that Rossington has joined his fellow departed bandmates in heaven and is playing music as always.
They added, “Gary is now with his Skynyrd brothers and family in heaven and playing it pretty much like he always does.
“Please keep the entire Rossington family in your prayers and respect the family’s privacy at this tough time.”
