In March 2021, Cerritos News reported they learned from a high-level source that Gov. Gavin Newsom was having a romantic relationship with one of his staffers.
Most of the senior staff members of Newsom were aware of the relationship and prepared to leave, according to the people who spoke with HMG-CN. Someone someone remarked, “I’ve heard rumors!”
At now, Newsom is married to Jennifer Siebel Newsom, and together, the couple has four kids. In anticipation of the recall, Newsom drastically reorganized his communications team previously.
Among other things, the governor made Lindsey Cobia, the deputy chief of staff, responsible for strategy by extending her role to “help guide communications”; all other roles were filled by recently hired political operatives.
According to the politician, he increased staffing in response to complaints from reporters and national media that the governor of California was becoming less accessible to them.
Cerritos News further reported that the demands stemmed after Newsom was caught in November 2020, dining at the upscale French Laundry with a dozen friends – all of whom were not wearing masks – with a whopping $300 per plate.

The renowned American politician is yet to confirm whether or not he cheated on his wife Jennifer Siebel Newsom.
However, he did cheat on his former wife, Kimberly Guilfoyle, with Ruby Rippey-Tourk (aka Ruby Rippey Gibney), the wife of his campaign manager and friend, Alex Tourk.
Newsom was married to Kimberly Guilfoyle from 2001 to 2006. In 2007, Gavin was shamed for having an extramarital affair with, Ruby.
The former mayor of San Francisco acknowledged having an affair with the wife of his campaign manager in February 2007, sparking a rapidly developing controversy with all the sex and treachery of a sleazy novel.
According to Newsom, he had a brief romantic involvement with Ruby Rippey-Tourk. The San Francisco Chronicle broke the initial story on the shocking affair.
The affair allegedly occurred in late 2005, while Newsom was going through a divorce and Rippey-Tourk was working as her appointments secretary.
At the time, Gavin Newsom informed reporters jammed into his office for a press conference, “Everything you’ve heard and read is true.” “And I sincerely apologize for that.”
Gavin Newsom’s Former Campaign Manager Resigned After Confronting Him
After confronting the former San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom about an affair he had with his wife, his former re-election campaign manager resigned.
Alex Tourk was Newsom’s deputy chief of staff before taking on the role in September 2007 of campaign manager. Mr. Tourk and Newsom were also close friends before the scandal surfaced.
According to the sources, Alex went up against Newsom when his wife revealed the affair to him.
In 2018, Ruby Rippey Gibney said, “Even though their connection ruined her family life, it probably shouldn’t be brought up in the discussions about sexual misconduct in the context of the #MeToo movement.
“I completely support the #metoo campaign. However, I doubt that it applies in this specific case.
Rippey Gibney stated on her Facebook page. “Yes, I was a subordinate, but I was also a free-thinking 33-year-old adult married woman.”
