Georgia Shooting: 21-Years-Old Suspect Jailon Gray Arrested- Is He In Jail Now?

The Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office gave an update on a tragic triple shooting that occurred in Conyers overnight.

On Monday, it happened at about 12:10 am. Investigators claim that shots were fired, and cops were dispatched to the Honey Creek Subdivision’s 3700 block of Sugarcreek Lane SE.

When they arrived, they discovered a 17-year-old who had been shot to death inside the House and two 50 and 51-year-old adults.

According to authorities, this was a domestic event that was not random. According to them, an altercation resulted in the shooting.

Jailon Gray, a 21-year-old man who allegedly resides at the residence where the shooting occurred, was named the suspect by the sheriff’s office.

According to authorities, a man is in jail after three individuals were shot and killed in a Rockdale County area after midnight on Monday.

Around six miles south of Conyers, in the Honey Creek Country Club and Golf Communities, deputies were summoned to a residence at 12:10 in the morning.

According to the sheriff’s office, all three victims died when they arrived.

Officials verified that one victim was 17 years old, while the others were 50 and 51, even though their names had not been public. It is unknown how they are related to one another.

Jailon Gray, age 21, was named the suspect, Lt. Lejohn Tate informed the media. Gray is charged with three counts of both aggravated assault and criminal murder.

When deputies arrived, they claimed Gray was still inside the House, and he was promptly taken into custody.

Three counts of aggravated assault and three counts of criminal murder have been brought against him.

According to officials, there were other occupants in the House at the time of the shooting, but they were unharmed.

The sheriff’s office claimed to have visited the House earlier but could not say why. As a result of the ongoing inquiry, Gray’s relationship with the victims has not yet been disclosed.

Tate claimed that the suspect resided there and was a part of the family. However, he could not corroborate Gray’s specific link to the victims.

Although present when the incident occurred, the other residents of the House were unharmed, according to Tate.

Authorities have not provided any other information regarding the victims, the culprit, or what may have preceded the incident.

According to the Rockdale jail’s records, Gray was detained in July 2021 for failing to display his license plate correctly and driving without insurance. He posted a $1,420 bond in that case and was freed.

Although having lived in the area for 27 years, Kenny Jones claimed he had never met the residents of the House.
