Tragically, the vibrant and tenacious Florence Arthaud met an untimely mort on March 9, 2015.

She lost her life in a helicopter crash in Argentina while participating in the filming of the television reality show “Dropped.” 

This devastating accident claimed the lives of nine other individuals, including prominent French swimmer Camille Muffat and boxer Alexis Vastine. Among the victims were the two Argentinian pilots and five French members of the production team, Adventure Line Productions.

By Florence Arthaud’s final wishes, she was cremated. A portion of her ashes found their resting place on the ĂŽle Sainte-Marguerite, located opposite Cannes, while the remainder were scattered at sea.
