Following the long absence of the prominent television personality, her fans worldwide were concerned. Soon after returning to the N.B.C. New morning show Today on 6 March, she explained to the viewers that her daughter had a health issue.
Kotb announced at the beginning of Monday’s show that her three-year-old daughter Hope had been hospitalized for over a week, including “a few days” in the intensive care unit. She remained mum regarding her daughter’s specific health concern.

The 59-year-old mom cared for her baby girl Hope Catherine, 4, who experienced health complications that landed her in the I.C.U. However, she didn’t specify the illness of the little girl.
“Our little girl Hope had to go to a hospital and was in the intensive care unit for a few days. Then, she was in the hospital for another week – it was really scary. But Hope waws vibrant and brilliant,” the doting mother said.

After spending a week in the hospital, Hope Catherine Kotb returned home.
Hoda, the mother of two, informed the viewer that she was over the moon to have her baby girl home. Kotb also expressed her gratitude for “how wonderful people are.”
“That is the lesson I learned from the whole incident. The nurses accompanied Hope throughout, the doctors who visited, the nurses who kept an eye on her, and those who looked after us, ” the former correspondent of Dateline N.B.C. explained.
Despite “always talking about gratitude,” Kotb acknowledged that she “found herself not living in that lane because she was terrified.”
Hoda said her daughter was sweet and loving through it all. Although she was not feeling great, little Hope got up from bed. She had two small confetti stars in her hand. The sweet girl gave one of the stars to her mother.
Even when this girl is not feeling well, she gives everything away,’ the proud mother said. The prominent Journalist stated that she felt fortunate and incredibly appreciative, incredibly grateful.
