Hunter Biden is a notable American attorney, businessman and artist who is also famous for being the son of Joe Biden, an American politician who is the 46th and current president of the United States.

Previously, Hunter worked as a lobbyist, banker, public administration official and registered lobbyist-firm attorney. From July 2006 to January 2009, Biden was the Vice Chairman of the Amtrak Board.

Likewise, Biden has a military career but was discharged from the U.S. Navy Reserve soon after his commissioning following a failed drug test.

Apart from that, Biden has faced various problems in his life, including his health which he has openly talked about with the media.

As stated earlier, fans and followers have been asking questions regarding Hunter Biden’s mental health for a long time. Meanwhile, he does not have mental health issues.

However, Biden has been open about his drug addiction. He began drinking as a teenager and confessed to abusing cocaine as a college student. Also, he has been in and out of rehab.

In 2013, Biden signed up for the U.S. Navy Reserves and took the oath of office before his father in a White House ceremony. But on his very first day at the naval base, Hunter tested positive for cocaine use and was discharged, something Biden later said he was embarrassed by.

Reportedly, Biden drank excessively after his older brother, Beau, died from brain cancer in 2015, sometimes only leaving the house to buy vodka. In early 2019, Biden had an intervention.

Hunter Biden Disease: Is He Sick Now?

No, Hunter Biden is not diagnosed with any serious disease, and there are no public records of him being sick. However, he had some issues in the past, which have already been shared earlier.

He has dealt with drug and alcohol addiction which Biden believes his addiction is linked to the trauma he suffered from the 1972 motor vehicle accident that killed his mom and sister.

As said earlier, his addiction escalated following the death of his brother Beau. During that time, he used to smoke every 15 minutes. Furthermore, Biden released a memoir titled Beautiful Things on April 6, 2023.

It was a memoir of the trauma of the accident that claimed his mom and sister and his later addiction struggles. 

Where Is Hunter Biden Now?

Hunter Biden is in the middle of controversy as he agreed to plead guilty to two misdemeanor tax charges for filing his taxes late on June 20, 2023. He also agreed to admit to illegally owning a gun while a drug user.

The case has already resulted in a political frenzy as Republicans, Donald Trump’s second criminal indictment, express outrage over the plea deal and seem eager to redirect public attention to Biden.

Almost immediately after the charges were revealed, many Republican lawmakers and rightwing commentators criticized the justice department for not seeking harsher punishment for Hunter.

Furthermore, the plea deal still needs to be approved by a federal judge; a court date was set for July 26, 2023. More updates will be given soon.
