According to different sources, it is said that Matthew Wade’s religion is Christianity, and he is proud of it. Also, he participates in every festival celebration and worships every god and goddess.

He is the son of Scott Wade, a former Australian rules football player who represented Hawthorn in the Victorian Football League (VFL), Clarence, and Hobart in the Tasmanian Football League (TFL), and held the position of CEO of AFL Tasmania for a significant period.

His grandpa, John Wade, presided over the Hobart Football Club. Matthew’s brother is not mentioned in any form of media, but he has a cousin named Jeremy Howe, who is a defender with the Collingwood Football Club.

He was diagnosed with testicular cancer at 16, and it took two rounds of chemotherapy to eradicate the disease. Wade lacks color vision. The colors of some cricket balls have caused him problems on the pitch.

Matthew Wade Career

During his first spell with the state team, he only played one game for Tasmania in any form: aa Ford Ranger One Day Cup match for the Tasmania Tigers in 2006–2007.

Wade’s excellence in domestic limited overs cricket led to his debut call-up to the Australian squad in October 2011 for a Twenty20 International against South Africa.

He made his international debut in a T20I match against India in Sydney in February 2012, opening the batting and hitting 72 runs off of 43 balls to win the match.

Wade’s first-class century came during the 2008–09 campaign. In 2013, he was banned and fined for pitch tampering, and in February 2015, he struck 152 for Victoria in the Sheffield Shield, his best first-class score to date.

Wade joined the Delhi Daredevils in January 2011 and appeared in three Indian Premier League games for Delhi. Wadereturnedk to Tasmania before the 2017–18 season for family reasons.
