Is Brendan Fraser Arrested For Abuse?
Fraser has not been arrested till now, but he claimed he was sexually abused by Philip Berk, who was then-president of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA).
Fraser claims he was accosted at this event by Berk; he mentioned Berk was groped on the buttocks by Berk when he offered to shake hands.
In a statement, he said, His left hand reaches around, grabs my ass cheek, and one of his fingers touches me in the taint.”
Fraser mentioned he was going to try and felt like he couldn’t do anything there; he thought it was normal for him to do so to everyone.
He said he did not go to Police because he was uncomfortable and did not want accusations to become a part of the narrative.
After a specific time, the news went viral, and people started having negative comments about Berk.
Then, Berk apologized, “My apology admitted no wrongdoing, the usual ‘If I’ve done anything that upset Mr. Fraser, it was not intended, and I apologize.”

Fraser decided to share about being sexually assaulted after he was involved in Time’s Up Campaign and the #MeToo movement, which inspired him to share about it.
The Actor mentioned it somehow affected him with his health condition as well. Fraser explained that the Actor became blacklisted from Hollywood because of his accusation against Berk, as Berk denied doing such things.
In the same year, he divorced, and his mother died the same year, which led him to depression, and he took a break from his career.
Everything happened quickly, so the Actor couldn’t handle it alone, leading him to depression and various health problems.
Fraser mentioned he was mentally and physically ill for some time, which also led him to have some time off from his acting career.
