“I’m writing to tell you some upsetting news about one of our counsellors. You may have heard that Dawn Pack was taken into custody.

The Battle Ground High School administration reported a school counsellor being detained.
Dawn Pack has been put on administrative leave, notwithstanding the principal’s claim in a letter to parents that her accusations are unrelated to her employment at the school.
In court documents, it is claimed that Pack injured her 10-year-old son by pinning him against a bed and placing her elbow on his throat.
She is also charged with stealing his phone and Amazon Dot from his room after he attempted to use them to call his Father for assistance.
The charge against Pack is second-degree child assault. Her husband has also requested a restraining order against her, claiming Pack has a lengthy history of alcohol problems.
Even though the allegation has nothing to do with her counselling practice, she has been put on administrative leave.
“Counselors play a crucial part in students’ academic performance. We are doing our best to ensure our students and families can access counsellors and assistance during this time.
