In July 2022, Jackie won her first Emmy Award for her story on an 8-year-old Clintonville boy who wrote a letter to President Biden and got a reply back from him.

Another option for Jackie could be to return to her hometown of Los Angeles, where she started her journalism career as an intern at KABC-TV.
Jackie graduated from California State University Northridge with a degree in broadcast journalism and Spanish.
She has also worked as a reporter and anchor at KFOX-TV in El Paso, Texas, and KRGV-TV in Weslaco, Texas.
Jackie Orozco Accident Update 2023
In November 2023, Jackie Orozco was involved in a car accident near downtown Columbus. She was driving her SUV when she collided with another vehicle that ran a red light.
She suffered minor injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. She was released later that day and is expected to make a full recovery.
The driver of the other vehicle was identified as a 19-year-old woman who was allegedly under the influence of alcohol.

She was pronounced dead at the scene. Her grandfather, who was also in the car with her, told reporters that it was “an accident, a horrible accident” and that he didn’t mean to shoot his granddaughter.
He said he thought she was an intruder who broke into his house earlier that night. Jackie posted a message on her Facebook page thanking her fans for their support and prayers.
She said she was “blessed to be alive” and that she hoped the other family would find peace and comfort.
