He has sued Fox News for defamation over their coverage of his role in the Capitol riot recently.

Is Military Veteran Ray Epps Arrested On 6 January? Where Is He Now?

The military veteran Ray Epps has never been arrested. Following the 6 January 2021 capitol attack, he was on the most wanted list of the FBI for around six months.

However, his picture was removed from the list without explanation. Thus, the military veteran has never been arrested. Moreover, the former US Marine sued Fox News for defamation recently. 

According to the lawsuit, Fox spread a “fantastical story” that Ray Epps was a federal agent to “scapegoat” him for the raid on Congress, reported BBC.

In January 2021, Mr. Epps was captured on camera urging others to enter the Capitol complex. Although FBI agents questioned him, he was not charged.

Damages are not specified in the action, which was submitted on Wednesday (19 July 2023) to a Delaware court.

Additionally mentioned is Tucker Carlson, who the network booted off the air earlier this year.

Ray Epps And His Wife Had To Close Their

The lawyer of Mr. Epps said that he and his wife had to shut down their wedding venue in Arizona and relocate to a small RV in Utah because of the intimidation and harassment they faced due to the conspiracy theories.

Mr. Epps was with Trump supporters near the Capitol on the night before and on the day of the riot.

He was filmed telling people to go into the building. The crowd shouted, “Fed! Fed!” – implying he was a law enforcement agent.

Epps has denied having any connections to law enforcement agencies and said he did not go into the Capitol during the riot.

He has also admitted he was influenced by his false belief that there was widespread fraud in the 2020 election and his support for Donald Trump.
