Parker Breding was in 15th place with season earnings of $105,746, and Trey was 16th with season earnings of $104,209. He didn’t necessarily need to win the match, but he did need to finish well to get a suitable payday.

With a winning ride of 89.5 points on Whamma Jamma, Trey put everything to rest and earned $3,952.

Trey and Sage Kimzey were born to their parents, Jennifer and Ted Kimzey, in Strong City, Oklahoma.

In 1980 and 1987, their Father, Ted, a longtime PRCA barrelman/clown, served as a barrelman at the National Finals Rodeo. Additionally, Dusta, their older sister, is a pharmacist.

The Kimzey family lived a rodeo lifestyle. Their Father invited the boys to accompany him as he performed for crowds as a rodeo clown and barrelman along the road. 

Trey Kimzey participated in nearly all junior high rodeo events, from roping to rough stock riding, but he always had the same objective.
