Zoe Ball is a British radio and television presenter famous for being the first female host of BBC’s both Radio 1 Breakfast and The Radio 2 Breakfast Show.
From 1996-1999, she was also the presenter of the 1990s children’s show Living & Kicking alongside Jamie Theakston.
The Blackpool native is also an aspiring dancer who competed in the third season of Strictly Come Dancing in 2005.

Zoe Ball announced that she is taking a break from the Radio 2 Breakfast Show. However, the radio announcer is not leaving the Breakfast Show forever.
On 29 January, the 53-year-old took on her Twitter to inform that she had got covid and was taking a break from presenting The Radio 2 Breakfast Show.
Ball also informed fans that Vernon Kay would be replacing her for the time being until she recovers from the illness.
The 50-year-old Vernon Kay also took on Twitter, announcing that he would take over the Breakfast Show for a couple of mornings.
He wished “Get well quickly” to Zoe Ball and urged the fans to tune in to 6:30 am for the show.
And like that, Vernon Kay was there on the 30 January episode of the Breakfast Show.
What Is Wrong With Zoe Ball? Illness And Health Update
British radio presenter Zoe Ball is currently on leave due to covid illness.
However, the 52-year-old has not given any health update after announcing her illness on 29 January.
Hopefully, Ball is recovering from the covid and taking her time off social media for the time being.
She started hosting The Radio 2 Breakfast Show on 14 January 2019 after replacing former host Chris Evans who presented it for nine years.
Following that, Ball was replaced by Rylan Clark in the Sunday mid-afternoon slot.
Ball has constantly been presenting the show for over four years and recently took a break due to covid.
