Although she is physically fit, as per Professor Sir Cary Cooper, Jacinda is dealing with burnout, although she has not directly confirmed it.

During her resignation, the ex-prime minister stated that she has “nothing remaining in the tank,” and as per the leading psychologist, ‘the tank is empty’ refers to burnout.

To those of you who don’t know, burnout is a condition of mental and physical exhaustion that can happen as a result of persistent stress at work.

The World Health Organization recognized it as a medical condition in 2019 and describes it as “chronic stress at work that has not been effectively managed”.

However, since Jacinda didn’t prefer to use the term “Burnout” while resigning, the professor expressed his disappointment by saying, “Unfortunately, not enough leaders express it, which is sad. Instead, they keep going and going, or if they do leave, they have a different justification.”
