Jack Hughes Sister And Brother – Meet Luke And Quinn
Luke Hughes is the youngest of the three Hughes siblings, born on September 9, 2003. However, he does not have a sister. In fact, he has two elder brothers.
Like his older brothers, he played for the U.S. National Team Development Program (USNTDP) and was drafted in the first round of the NHL Entry Draft, going fourth overall to the Detroit Red Wings in 2021.
Luke is a defenseman who combines size, speed, skill, and vision. He is currently playing for the University of Michigan in the NCAA, where he is teammates with another top prospect, Owen Power.
Luke has also represented the United States at various international tournaments, winning gold at the 2020 World U17 Hockey Challenge and bronze at the 2021 IIHF World U18 Championship.
Quinn Hughes is the oldest of the three Hughes siblings, born on October 14, 1999.
He also played for the USNTDP and was drafted in the first round of the NHL Entry Draft, going seventh overall to the Vancouver Canucks in 2018.
Quinn is a defenseman who is known for his elite skating, puck handling, and offensive instincts. He made his NHL debut in 2019 and was a finalist for the Calder Trophy as the rookie of the year.

He led all rookie defensemen in scoring with 53 points in 68 games. He has since become one of the top blueliners in the league, earning his first NHL All-Star Game appearance in 2020.
Quinn has also represented the United States at various international tournaments, winning gold at the 2017 IIHF World U18 Championship and bronze at the 2019 IIHF World Championship.

The Hughes siblings inherited their hockey genes from their parents, Jim and Ellen.
Jim Hughes is a former hockey player and coach who played college hockey at Providence College and minor pro hockey in Europe.
He later coached at various levels, including as an assistant coach for the Boston Bruins and as the director of player development for the Toronto Maple Leafs. He also coached his sons at the USNTDP.
Ellen Weinberg-Hughes is a former hockey player who played college hockey at the University of New Hampshire, where she won three national championships and was a two-time All-American.
She also played for Team USA at the 1992 IIHF Women’s World Championship, where she won a silver medal. She later became a teacher and a hockey mom, supporting her children’s careers.

The Hughes family is one of the most remarkable hockey families in history, with three children drafted in the top ten of their respective NHL drafts and playing at high levels of competition.
