Jake Day pedaled his bicycle when a blue Mini Cooper saloon struck him in Heckmondwike. Despite battling for his life in the hospital, Jake tragically passed away over the weekend, according to a statement issued by Jake’s former school, the Co-op Academy.
On February 23, at 1:25 pm, an event took place. A blue Mini Cooper saloon had reportedly struck a child at the intersection of Leeds Road and Muffit Lane in Heckmondwike.
The child suffered severe head injuries and was taken to the hospital by emergency personnel, but he did not survive.
