The accident killed a player and recruiting staffer from the University of Georgia. According to a source, Jalen was allegedly street racing with a Georgia staffer before the staffer’s vehicle collapsed into telephone poles.

In a news release on Wednesday, the police announced that they actively seek to arrest Carter on charges of reckless driving and racing.

UGA Star Jalen Carter Accused of Being Linked To Accident That Killed Teammate

 The University of Georgia defensive lineman Jalen Carter is facing charges of reckless driving and racing in connection with a crash that killed teammate Devin Willock and team member Chandler LeCroy.

Furthermore, Jalen was at the scene of the crash and left before emergency personnel arrived. Toxicology reports show LeCroy had a blood alcohol concentration of .197 during the accident, which is more than twice the permitted limit in Georgia.

Tragically, the results for Willock and LeCroy were vastly different. While Willock was forcefully ejected from the vehicle and surrendered to his injuries at the accident scene, LeCroy initially survived the crash but sadly passed away later at the hospital.

This serves as a sobering reminder of the devastating consequences of reckless driving and the importance of responsible behavior on the road.

Meanwhile, Jalen’s mother, Toni Brown, refused to comment about the charges against her son, noting the ongoing investigation. As the investigation is going on, more news will come soon.
