Jam Master Jay’s autopsy reports suggest he was shot and killed on October 30, 2002, at 7:30 pm, in New York City, in his recording studio on Merrick Boulevard in Jamaica, Queens.

Following Mizell’s passing, several artists in the hip-hop scene expressed their sorrow over his ***** and paid tribute to his impact on the genre and music in general.

Mizell was laid to rest in Hartsdale, New York’s Ferncliff Cemetery and Mausoleum. Urieco Rincon, 25, who was also in the room, was shot in the ankle but lived.

In 2003, Irving “Irv Gotti” Lorenzo’s acquaintance and convicted drug dealer Kenneth McGriff and his older brother Christopher were being investigated for allegedly targeting DJ Mizell.

This was because the rapper 50 Cent had been placed on an industry blacklist due to 50 Cent’s song “Ghetto Qu’ran,” which detailed McGriff’s drug history.

Third Suspect Jay Bryant Charged With ****** Of Jam Master Jay

According to BBC, prosecutors in New York have announced that a third man, Jay Bryant, has been charged over the accuse of killing Run-DMC icon Jam Master Jay.

However, the Queens resident Jay Bryant, detained on separate federal narcotics charges, denies the allegations.

He is accused of ****** while involved in drug trafficking and other drug-related offenses.

Prosecutors said in a document submitted to the court that Mr. Bryant and the other two men had been observed entering and leaving the premises after the ******** and that his DNA had been found at the site.

Two additional men, Ronald Washington and Karl Jordan Jr., were accused of killing him in 2020. They had already entered a not-guilty plea, and their trial is scheduled for January 2024.
