Hayden Panettiere’s younger brother, the 28-year-old actor, was found unresponsive by his friends over Presidents’ Day weekend in New York.
One of Jansen’s friends discovered him sitting in a chair and called 911, but attempts to revive him were unsuccessful.
Jansen’s father had spoken to him the night before and said he sounded “OK.”
The statement also remembered Jansen for his charisma, talent, and kindness. The last known photo of Jansen showed him spray-painting graffiti.

Jansen Panettiere passed away due to an enlarged heart, and the reason for the medical complication and sudden death has been linked with drug addiction.
According to DailyMail, Jansen, the brother of Hayden Panettiere, struggled with opioid addiction and had undergone drug addiction treatment a year before his sudden death.
Neighbors reported that Jansen had been abusing prescription painkillers, believed to be Oxycodone, for several years.
Sources also indicated that Jansen had overcome his addiction after completing rehab last year but had relapsed in the months leading up to his death.
He was residing in Nyack, New York, at the time of his passing. The last photo posted by the graffiti artist was a selfie taken while he was spray painting in Nyack on February 6, captioned “Graffiti is illegal.”

Jansen was born into an entertainment family. His mother, Lesley R. Vogel, is a former soap opera actress, while his father, Skip, is a fire department lieutenant.
