Jaxon Smith-Njigba is an American football wide receiver for the Seattle Seahawks in the National Football League (NFL).

As a junior, he had 97 receptions for 1828 yards and 20 touchdowns and as a senior, he caught 104 passes for 2094 yards and 35 touchdowns.

Canaan Smith-Njigba is Jaxon Smith-Njigba brother. Unlike his brother, Canaan is a professional baseball player, specifically an outfielder for the Pittsburgh Pirates in Major League Baseball (MLB).

Further, he attended the same high school as his brother, but there he played baseball and intentionally walked 32 times in 24 games during his senior year.

In 2017, he was drafted by the New York Yankees, where he made his debut with Rookie-level Gulf Coast League Yankees and in 2018, he played for the Staten Island Yankees of the Class A.

Moreover, in 2021, he was traded to the Pittsburgh Pirates along with three other players in exchange for Jameson Taillon. He made his MLB debut with Pittsburgh in 2022.

On the other hand, his mother, Jami, works as a social worker. After divorcing Jaxon’s father, she settled in Sulphur Springs, Texas. But she admires her son’s hard work and commitment to achieving his dreams.

The athlete is s of mixed heritage, with his father of Sierra Leonean descent and his mother of European American descent. He is half Sierra Leonean in descent, and his grandparents are from Sierra Leone. This makes him biracial, and he identifies as African American and white.
