Molina wore UFC Pride Month shorts during his fight with Zhalgas Zhumagulov. From that fight, he supported the LGBTQ Center of Southern Nevada.
Later, Molina faced a harsh backlash from some MMA fans. The UFC fighter expressed surprise to see such a reaction in 2022 and frustration at the perceived bigotry of those slamming him on social media.
