Born Gerard Jerry Inzerillo, Jerry Inzerillo is a renowned hospitality, tourism, and business executive, now the CEO of DGDA (Diriyah Gate Development Authority).
DGDA is reportedly a cultural heritage and tourism development in Saudi Arabia. Inzerillo is originally from Brooklyn, New York.
He worked in various entry-level jobs before becoming an executive at leading companies. Starting his career at 13 in 1967, the New York native was named one of Forbes Middle East’s Top CEOs in 2021.
Jerry earned the prestigious title thanks to his role at Diriyah Gate Development Authority in Saudi Arabia, which is a part of Saudi Vision 2030.
Inzerillo was appointed by HRH Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as the organization’s inaugural CEO when the Diriyah Gate Development Authority was officially established in June 2018.
To make it one of the primary meeting places in the world, this authority is tasked with developing the master plan for the UNESCO World Heritage site.

Inzerillo’s career in the hospitality sector was formed out of necessity. Jerry Inzerillo was born in 1954 in Brooklyn, New York. The talented business executive hails from a family of five generations of bakers.
The DGDA CEO said his story started with tens and millions of people worldwide. “I came from a good family, but we were poor,” said Jerry while laughing.
He began working as a busboy at the age of 13. “A busboy is at the very bottom of the food chain in the hospitality industry,” said Jerry.
The business executive added that most of the busboys in New York City at the time were either juvenile offenders or dropouts from high school; they were unreliable and would put in a 12-hour shift for 16 dollars.
Inzerillo revealed that he was proud to have a job when he told his father about it. Back then, a child labor law prohibited children under 16 from working past 8 pm.
However, Inzerillo made his father lie about his age. Jerry Inzerillo’s father was disciplined. But Jerry disclosed that the judge understood they were poor.
Thus, instead of writing the business executive’s date of birth, 1954, the judge made four look more like zero. In an instant, Inzerillo became 17 from 13.
Regarding Jerry Inzerillo’s education, he earned his degree in hotel administration, hotel/motel administration or management in 1975 from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas.
According to his LinkedIn account, Inzerillo has worked in several companies in positions ranging from waitstaff, restaurant manager, general manager, executive director, president, to CEO.
