The England-born footballer represented Jamaica internationally at the youth and senior levels.

On June 29, 2021, Jevani signed Exeter City, where he scored seven goals and assisted 12 as Exeter achieved promotion to League One for the 2022–23 season during the 2021-22 season. 

Taking about his intended career, Exeter’s forward represented Jamaica at the under-17 level, making his debut during their 2011 CONCACAF U17 Championship fixture against Guatemala.

In 2022, Jevani was called up to represent Jamaica at the 2022 Austria Mini Tournament.

Jevani Brown Suspended After Arrest

Fans are shocked after Exeter City’s top scorer was charged with assaulting a woman in the city center.

Despite being the top scorer, Jevani faced suspension by the League One club against charges of assaulting a woman.

According to BBC, the forward will appear in court at 28 years old. In addition, his club, Exeter City, tweeted he would play once proceedings have concluded.

Exeter club released a statement on Friday(February 3). The footballer would not play in upcoming Saturday’s League One clash with Charlton Athletic due to a club disciplinary matter.

Following his suspension, Manager Gary Caldwell, after Saturday’s 2-1 defeat to Charlton Athletic, in which Jevani did not feature.

The manager, in an interview, claimed that Exeter City FC has standards at their club, and if athletes don’t rise to them or match them. No matter how skillful the player is, they will not allow him to represent their club, hinting at Jevenai’s assault case.

After reports a woman had been assaulted, Devon and Cornwall Police officers were called to Queens Street in Exeter on Thursday, February 2, 2023.

Devon and Cornwall Police revealed the victim called Police to Queens Street after a female faced assault in the area. Later, the footballer got arrested.

What Are Charges Faced By Jevani Brown?

Exeter City’s forward faced charges of assault, according to Police reports.

Luton native Jevani,28, is set to face court after he was charged with assault by beating.

Sources claim the 28-year-old will appear in court next week and feature for the Grecians when legal proceedings conclude.

Mirror claims Exeter City forward Jevani has been charged with assault by beating following an alleged altercation on February 2, 2023, early in the morning in the Queens Street neighborhood.

Per the statement from the force, Jevani was charged with assault by beating. However, the footballer was released on bail and will appear before Exeter Magistrates Court on Thursday, February 16, 2023.

Following his arrest, his club Exeter released a statement on Tweeted, “Exeter City Football Club is aware of the charge made against their forward Jevani Brown.”

Since it is a legal matter, his club refused to comment once legal proceedings settle, and Exeter City will not select the club to play during this period.
