Zonfrillo’s career began by working as a dishwasher and later became a head chef. In November 2013, Jock opened Restaurant Orana and Street ADL in Adelaide.

In 2002, Zonfrillo intentionally set Fire to Martin Krammer for working too slowly. Later, damages in excess of $75,000 were given against Zonfrillo.
In May 2007, the MasterChef judge was declared bankrupt after a creditor’s petition from Martin was successful in the Federal Magistrates Court. Martin claimed Zonfrillo never paid him a cent.
Furthermore, Zonfrillo was also the founder of The Orana Foundation. In September 2020, he launched a defamation case in the Federal Court of Australia against Nationwide News relating to an article concerning the foundation.
Nationwide News settled the court case, and later, The Australian newspaper issued an apology. On October 5, 2020, his two restaurants, Restaurant Orana and Bistro Blackwood, entered into voluntary administration with substantial unpaid debts.
Likewise, Simon & Schuster published a memoir of Zonfrillo named Last Shot on July 28, 2021. This also dragged Zonfrillo into the controversy.

What Happened To MasterChef Judge Jock Zonfrillo?
MasterChef Judge Jock Zonfrillo died on April 30, 2023, at the age of 46. Jock’s family released a statement confirming the death of Jock but didn’t give the actual death cause.
At the time of this post, Jock’s cause of death has not been shared, due to which multiple speculations have risen. Police said Jock’s death was not suspicious.
