Satyanarayana was an Indian Actor and director who primarily worked in Telugu cinema. He appeared in over 750 films.
A prominent figure in the Telegu silver screen, he was a part of the entertainment world from the time of NTR, when he initially used to play his dupe.
Over a career spanning over six decades, Satyanarayana has played hero, antagonist, and all types of character roles in family and social dramas and mythological films.
The veteran Tollywood Actor was also a politician and served as the Member of Parliament (MP) in the 11th Lok Sabha, representing the Machilipatnam constituency from the Telugu Desam Party.

The Veteran Telegu Actor and famed politician died early on Friday (December 23) morning.
India Today writes that Satyanarayana has been battling several health issues for the last few months. However, his exact death cause is yet to be revealed.
Soon after the news of his demise broke, fans and colleagues took to social media to remember him.
Actor Kalyanram Nandamuri paid tribute through his tweet, “Saddened to know about the passing of Kaikala Satyanarayana garu. An absolute legend who immortalized many characters on our Telugu silver screen. Om Shanti.”
Director Maruthi also tweeted, “Rest in peace legend Kaikala Satyanarayana garu. We miss you forever.”
Likewise, actor-producer Ganesh wrote: “Legendary Actor Kaikala Satyanarayana garu. RIP. May his soul rest in peace.”
Satyanarayan’s final rites will reportedly take place at Mahaprasthanam crematorium in Jubilee Hills on Saturday, December 24.
Kaikala Satyanarayana is survived by his wife, Nageswaramma Satyanarayana (m. 1960), two daughters, and two sons.
His passing is a huge shock and loss to the Telugu film industry.

Kaikala Satyanarayana was born in Kavutaram village in Krishna district, Andhra Pradesh, India. He was born on July 25, 1935.
He completed his primary education in Gudlavalleru and then intermediate education in Vijayawada. He later graduated from Gudivada college.
When he was 24, Producer DL Narayana liked him and offered him a role in Sipayi Koothuru. Although the film did not perform well at the box office, it was the start of his career ahead.
Due to his resemblance to N.t.rama Rao (NTR), Satyanarayana played dupe to the actor-politician in several films. NTR then offered him a role in Apoorva Sahasra Siraccheda Chintamani, directed by SD Lal.
Likewise, B Vittalacharya first gave him a negative character role in Kanaka Durga Pooja Mahima. He had excelled in negative roles since then.
Satyanarayana acted in more than 750 films in his six-decades-long career.
He also became a producer and churned out films, like Kodama Simham, Bangaru Kutumbam, and Muddula Mogudu, under his Rama Films Production House.
We last saw Satyanarayana in the 2009 film Arundhati. He played Bhupathi Raja in the movie, which also starred Sonu Sood, Anushka Shetty, Manorama, and Sayaji Shinde.
Kaikala Satyanarayana won several awards in his career, including the Raghupati Venkaiah award (2011), the Filmfare lifetime achievement award for Telugu cinema (2017), and the Andhra Pradesh government’s Nandi film awards.
Apart from films, Satyanarayana also enjoyed a stint in politics. He was elected to the 11th Lok Sabha from Machilipatnam on Telugu Desam Party (TDP) ticket. However, he withdrew from politics after 1998.
