The suspected ADF agent was stopped by Police riding a motorcycle in Kyali-Kyalugo village, Nyendo Mukungwe Division in Masaka City, central Uganda, where they found nine rifles and improvised explosive devices.

Following an intelligence-driven operation, the Police Flying Squad apprehended him before he could show investigators where he had stashed a PK machine gun, seven SMGs, a pistol, and IEDs.
According to CP Enanga, the cell has ties to the ones in Maganjo and Matugga, as well as attacks on Police stations.
“We applaud the arrest of Ali Katende alias Mao, the commander of the Nyendo terror group. All of these attacks would be planned out of Masaka.
They would collaborate with the other two terror cells, Maganjo and Matuga, to launch assaults on the nation’s Police forces and people.

Katende Ali, ADF Commander Arrested In Masaka
AFD Commander Arrested, and people are trying to learn more about the details of the case which led to his arrest.
An important ADF commander was assassinated in the Democratic Republic of the Congo by the combined troops of the UPDF and the Congolese military of FARC.
Abu Aden, an ADF Leader of Somali descent, was reportedly killed earlier this week in combat near Malulu, seven kilometers northwest of Boga town, according to Brig. Felix Kulayigye, spokesperson for the UPDF.
According to Brig. Kulayigye, “this success came after a human intelligence report regarding the presence of ADF terrorists who were seeking directions to Mitego within the same area of operations.”
