Kayana Traylor is a women’s college basketball player who currently plays for the Virginia Tech Hokies. She is a guard and joined the team in the 2021-2022 season as a transfer from Purdue University.

Traylor is originally from Martinsville, Indiana, and during her high school career, she was named to the Indiana All-Star team and was a two-time conference MVP.

In her first season at Virginia Tech, she played in all 29 games and started in 27 of them. She averaged 11.6 points per game and 3.6 rebounds per game and was named to the All-ACC Freshman team.

The athlete averaged 10.4 points per game while playing 27.4 minutes in 11 of her 33 games as a starter.

She reached double digits on the scoreboard 19 times, with a high of 19 in the ACC Tournament overtime victory over UNC for the Hokies.

Her little sister, Ashlyn, who is the third-oldest among four basketball-playing sisters, started playing for the Radford University basketball team, and she was given the title of Big South Conference freshman of the year.

Danielle Traylor, their mother, claimed that Kayana has always served as the “mother hen” to her sisters.

It is not surprising that the four females chose to play basketball. Their mother and father first met while playing basketball for a junior college.

“It’s in the blood now,” Danielle Traylor mentioned in a phone interview.

Nonetheless, all four sisters are somewhat similar in the court and they are shining in their respective games.
