Kentavious White Shooting: The 26-year-old guy killed himself after fatally shooting McDonald’s manager and his biological mother and grandmother. Here’s what we know about this case.
Four people were pronounced dead after a suicide murder at a house and a McDonald’s branch in south Georgia on 4th May 2023. The Coroner’s Office in Colquitt County confirmed that four individuals, including the shooter, have died.
The shooter has been identified as McDonald’s employee Kentavious White by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
Security footage captured a man fatally shooting his boss at an eating establishment in a remote area of south Georgia on 4th May. Kentavious is also accused of killing his mom and grandmom at their close houses before killing himself, according to investigators.
The following footage also showed that Kentavious White shot the manager of the store of McDanold’s in Moultrie after taking her to come to the door on 4th May, as per the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. The security video then shows that White shoots himself after stepping inside the restaurant.
The Moultrie police appointed the GBI to take the primary role in the investigation, as is common in Georgia when serious crimes are committed. The state’s law enforcement organization stated that their search is still ongoing.

Kentavious White Shooting Case And Suicide
After allegedly killing his mom and grandmom at their respective houses, Kentavious White went to a McDonald’s restaurant, where he requested Amia Smith, his manager, to show up at the door, and then he fatally shot her, according to GBI reports.
Kentavious then entered the restaurant and shot himself, and committed suicide. GBI added that the McDonald’s shooting was recorded vividly on security video.
Although the actual motive behind these shootings hasn’t been revealed yet, Moultrie police and GBI are thoroughly investigating.
An optometrist’s office employee named Sabrina Holweger told the police officials that when she and a colleague arrived at work around 8 a.m., they discovered a woman’s body shot to death and lying in a restaurant entrance with police swarming all around.
Holweger stated, “It was truly simply frightening not knowing if they had shot themselves.”
Furthermore, George Suarez, operator and owner of the McDonald’s branch in Moultrie, stated the restaurant will stay closed until further notice.
In a statement given by McDonald’s headquarters in Chicago, Suarez said, “We have been devastated by the loss of our loved restaurant manager, and our thoughts and prayers go out to all those impacted by this senseless act of violence.”
Kentavious White Killed Mother, GrandMom And Manager
Kentavious White shot his own mother and grandma at their houses, according to earlier confirmation from C. Verlyn Brock, Colquitt County Coroner.
The grandma, who resided next door to her daughter, was evacuated to the hospital and passed away there, according to the coroner, who confirmed that his biological mom died at the scene. Moreover, their names weren’t made public right away.
Additionally, Jerry Goodwin, who resided next door to the shooter and his mum and about two doors down from the grandmom, told the officials that his spouse heard the shots firing before 1 a.m. on Thursday while he was sound asleep.
Jerry stated the young guy who lives right beside him had come outside and fired a gun a day prior earlier in the week while yelling something, and it was responded to by the Moultrie police.
